@stuntactorsagaftra Not true. Unilateral means “one-sided” (or, in the case of MLM, one leg, but it’s never referred to as “unilateral”).
Most MLM companies do NOT offer Hybrid Unilevel plans. However, currently, a lot of NEW network marketing companies offer hybrid plans of one kind or another, simply to attract people who prefer different types of plans… “the “all things to all people” approach. Trying to please everyone, but end up pleasing no-one.

Unilevel is the same thing as unilateral. Most MLM companies now do a Hybrid Unilevel plan.

In MLM this is sometimes referred to as “Pirates of Penzance” syndrome — where the hero is going to marry his ancient nursemaid who’s sold him on marriage, but he’s never seen another woman. Then he stumbles across a bevy of beautiful maidens and realizes his nursemaid lied. That makes the nursemaid a liar. It says nothing at all about marriage.

@stuntactorsagaftra I don’t know which countries you’re referring to here, but for most countries that’s nonsense. For a start, there’s no such thing as a unilateral plan. Do you mean unilevel? The reason why binaries may be banned in some countires is because no other kind of plan produces as much breakage for companies at the expense of distributors. (Breakage is hidden windfall profit that rolls up to the company.)
